Everel widens its automotive product range introducing the first vehicle collision warning radar, a high frequency radar easy to be fitted into cars, trucks and coaches. This radar helps to avoid accidents providing an alert signal in case of any impending danger. In fact it is able to distinguish still objects or slow moving vehicles; it is very useful with poor or missing visibility, like in case of fog and vehicles with no lights on or non visible; it also warns of vehicles standing in tunnel.

 

This radar calculates the own vehicle’s speed, the distance to the moving obstacle, its speed and deceleration. The system evaluates the danger level warning the driver by means of a display placed on the vehicle dashboard. A three LED scale, from green to red, provides information on the situation; when the LED bar lights up to the red area, also an acoustic signal starts beeping, calling the driver’s attention.

 

This collision warning system is easy to be fitted into any vehicle thanks to the small and compact dimensions of its parts: radar, processor unit and display.
